My sister gave me this pattern and the yarn for Christmas one year. She loves knitting socks on circular needles, and she wanted to get me a pattern so that I could try using circular needles, as I hadn’t done so before. The circular needles felt really alien to me. I’m so used to have long needles under my arm, touching the back of the sofa, that when I came to use the circular ones they felt really strange just floating around. I quickly got used to it though and completed them quickly enough. They just poke out the top of your boots to give the impression that you’re wearing big wooly socks. I enjoyed knitting them and thought it was an interesting pattern.
