********************************

This was a very adventurous project for me to start last year. I had done a bit of striped work in a tea cosy before, but apart from that had done no colour work.

The body of the jumper was straight forward, starting with rib, and continuing in stocking stitch for the stripes. The flowers were something completely new to me. They weren’t the neatest at the back, as I was just trying to get used to all the different threads. I’m really happy with how they turned out for my first time though.

There is a small zip at the back of the neck which was also new for me. I’ve put zips into clothes I’ve made on the sewing machine, but never in knitting. It’s not the flattest zip in the world but it works, and I was pleased with it.

I’d definitely make this jumper again. I’m absolutely delighted with the finished product, and I’ve had a lot of really nice comments when I’m wearing it, which is always lovely.
