********************************

As with quite a lot of my knitting projects, I borrowed this pattern from my mum. She has an impressive collection of patterns and I love going home, looking through them all, and choosing my next adventure. I was looking for a summery top and this pattern really jumped out at me. Mum then brought out the top that she’d knitted for herself in the early 90s. It was great to see it before I started knitting it myself.

It was actually very quick to knit, and easy to memorise. Patterns that are easy to memorise are fantastic, you can get a lot more done in your time, and knit when you’re tired. There are two pieces, front and back, which are identical, and then you add on some rib for the cap sleeves. It was really enjoyable to knit.
