********************************

I found this pattern on Etsy after searching for a new winter hat to knit. I knew I wanted to knit something with some colour pattern in it so I searched for Icelandic patterns and found Wild Honey Design. They have loads of really pretty Icelandic patterns and I’d love to try out some others too.

I went with the yarn that was suggested in the pattern and I’m really glad I did because it turned out perfectly. The hat is knit in the round which was new to me. I have knitted a few things on circular needles and four needles but not a hat. I thought the pattern was great and I knitted it in no time at all.

I bought some bobble makers at Yarndale a few years ago and they’re fantastic. Much easier that making your own out of cardboard, and they make a much thicker and neater bobble.
